Helping Parents (2)

A bit about me

Hi beautiful! I'm Jen, a former advertising executive, educational advocacy strategist, and mom of 3 awesome kids, the youngest of which has double deficit dyslexia and dysgraphia (say that 10 times fast). I am a warrior parent just like you who had to quickly dive into federal, state, and case laws, the meaning of RTI and SMART goals, and best practices in literacy for all kids so I could advocate for my own child with power.

I spent the better part of 2 years down the legal rabbit hole in order to fight strategically instead of emotionally. I wrote numerous allegations against my district without a lawyer and won. Learning how to advocate successfully is an ongoing process. Using legal facts and evidential persuasion to school the school requires strategic thinking and grit.

Over the years I have worked with countless parents who feel frustrated and desperate fighting for their child in a system that is underfunded and often uninformed. Advocacy is hard work. I created SavvyAdvocacy to try and offer advocacy assistance to all at an affordable price.

Advocacy can feel really lonely, but I'm here to tell you that you are not alone and your child is so lucky to have you!

With Savvy and Tenacity
XO Jen
